My Hometown
I was born in San Diego, California, but moved to the mountains of southeastern Kentucky when I was young. These mountains are where I grew up, and I consider this area my true home. My family and friends all live here, and while the town I reside in may be small, it provides a strong sense of familiarity, comfort, and community.
My Major and Plans After Graduation
My major is Information Technology, and thus far the courses I have taken have allowed me to build a strong foundation in networking, systems, and security concepts. After graduation, I plan to continue my career working as an IT Security Officer for my current employer. It is my hope that this degree will help me advance in the workplace and provide better opportunities for both myself and my family.
My Relationship with the Internet
The internet plays a vital role in both my professional and personal life. I rely on it heavily at work, as it is essential to my role in as IT Security Officer. I also use it for schoolwork, research, and entertainment. The most important aspect of the internet for me is access to information and learning resources, and I spend many hours each day online for both productivity and communication.
